13-year old Invents Lollipop Cure for the Hiccups

Mallory Kievman has achieved more than most of us will in our lives and she’s only 13.

Mallory is CEO and founder of a company that may remedy one of the most annoying issues faced by all humans, the hiccups. Kievman is preparing to launch her product, the Hiccupop, a hiccup-stopping lollipop of her own invention.

Following tests of 100 classic remedies for the hiccups, Kievman combined three – sugar, apple cider vinegar, and lollipops – with the belief that the combination¬†“triggers a set of nerves in your throat and mouth that are responsible for the hiccup reflex arc… It basically over-stimulates those nerves and cancels out the message to hiccup.”

With financial backers and a patent pending, here’s hoping Kievman achieves her goal, benefiting the world for generations to come.
