The most amazing photo of the Mars Curiosity landing

The photo was captured by the satellite orbiting Mars – the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter – and shows Curiosity parachuting to the Martian surface after a 352 million-mile journey and harrowing plunge through the planet’s atmosphere dubbed “7 Minutes of Terror.”

Buzzfeed took the photo above, enlarged and refined it, and made a spectacular image more incredible.

Outer space is awesome.
