The amazing tale of ‘The Dog in the Clouds’

It’s no secret that I love animals, really love dogs and love our two French Bulldogs – Ava and Chelsea who’ve seen me through some very tough times- more than anything on the planet not named my wife and our soon-t0-be born child. That love drew my attention to a new Kickstarter project, “The Dog in the Clouds“.
Simply put, The Dog in the Clouds is an e-book project which tells the true tale of a remarkable man, his remarkable dog and what that dog taught him and can teach all of us.
After being crushed (legs, arm, head) in a wreck, then later paralyzed by a spinal cord tumor, the book’s author, Brian Beker, was in a bad place when he saw a dog in the clouds which ultimately led him to Orville (pictured above):
Orville was a worried-looking seven-and-a-half week-old. I forgot all about the dog in the clouds. The day I got him was the day I started getting better.
The Dog in the Clouds is the story of the ensuing years. Traveling seemed to educate Orville, to expand his character and grow his confidence. And all the time he became more of a co-conspirator, able to don disguises and slip in and out of places dogs are not allowed. He pushed me to do things that forced me to heal, and at times it seemed as if he had been sent on a mission to do precisely that.
The Dog in the Clouds is a Kickstarter project you can’t not support. The project has 9 days to go, has a goal of $6,000, and has almost reached it’s goal, but almost doesn’t cut it. All it takes is $25 to get a copy of the book and some other great goodies.
So, support The Dog in the Clouds, you’ll be glad you did.
