China boasts world’s tallest building will be completed in only 3 months

Chinese architecture firm Broad Sustainable Building (BSB) boasts they will take the title of world’s tallest building from Dubai’s Burj Khalifa by constructing a 838-meter building called the ‘Sky City’ in 90 days. By comparison, the Burj Khalifa took 5 years to construct.

According to CNN,  BSB is plans to construct the Sky City later this year in Changsha, the capital of Hunan Province.

The building will have 220 stories—providing 1 million square meters of floor space, which is serviced by 104 elevators and with BSB’s construction methods, the  projected cost is only $628 million USD.  The Burj Khalifa came in at $1.5 billion USD, more than double the projected cost of Sky City.

BSB is known for efficient construction, having constructed a 15-story building in six days in 2010 and constructing a 30-storey hotel in 15 days in 2011.
