Memmento is a free online cemetery allowing users to create virtual spaces to honor the dead and invite friends, family, anyone, to visit their tribute page.

The site is similar to a traditional cemetery in that it lets visitors place virtual flowers and candles on virtual tombstones.

Visitors can even upload videos and pictures on the “Memorial” wall, creating a “virtual identity” for others to learn more about the deceased.

Memmento is interesting, but it may cheapen the idea of another’s death for some (myself included).
