Harley Davidson from Japanese tsunami washes up on beach 4,000 miles away

Time reports a rusty Harley Davidson motorcycle from the March 2011 Japanese tsunami has washed up on the coast of British Columbia.

The motorcycle was found along with golf clubs and camping equipment inside a storage camper by Peter Mark, a passerby riding his ATV on Graham Island.

Ikuo Yokoyama, based on information from the motorcycle’s plates, has been indentified as the owner of the bike. The 29-year-old Yokoyama survived the tsunami, but he lost his home and three family members.

Yokoyama’s Harley has an offer from the company to clean and restore the bike he can hit the streets on it once again.

Kudos to Harley Davidson.
