A Central Florida man who was arrested last week was so out of control that Volusia County Sheriff’s deputies couldn’t get him to sit still for his mug shot, and were forced to hold his head in place.

Kelsey Smith is drawing attention — not for what he did — but because his mug shot taken at the Volusia Co. Sheriff’s Department in Florida is so unusual.

Deputies found Smith parked in a running car that reeked of alcohol. When asked to take a field sobriety test, Smith refused and allegedly got physical with the officers.

After subduing Smith and placing him in the squad car, Smith repeatedly hit his head and face on the roof of the vehicle and then spit blood.

Officers had to use a stun gun on Smith twice to get him into handcuffs. And then when it was time to take his mug shot, as you can see above, they had to hold his head steady.

Smith is now charged with driving under the influence.
