A California man’s attempt to break into his locked apartment turned tragic when he slipped and was impaled by broken glass inside a window.
Neighbors of Sacramento’s Kyle Fortunato could see the 28-year-old’s lifeless body hanging out of the kitchen window of his apartment before police arrived, according to local CBS 13.
The young father was locked out of his house and was trying to crawl through the window when he fell on some jagged glass and bled to death, authorities said.
“It was just a shame what happened to him,” one shocked neighbor told the station.
Investigators called the death an accident.
