Man tries to rob Rent-A-Center, fails miserably when store fights back

 

A Massachusetts man suspected of trying to rob a Brockton, Mass. Rent-A-Center failed miserably when he became lodged under the loading bay door after trying to squeeze underneath.

The thief – Manuel Fernandes = was  found by an employee the next morning and told them had been trapped under the door since midnight.

Brockton Police Lt. Paul Bonaca:

 

“He tried to pry open the garage door with a metal bed post. As a result of trying to squeeze into the business, apparently the door fell onto the suspect’s head, and he was unable to free himself.”

 

When police arrived, they pried Fernandes from under the door, taking him to the hospital with a large bruise on the back of his head.

Fernandes faces breaking and entering and malicious property damage charges.
