Violent TV destroys children’s sleep

There’s more evidence that watching violent or age-inappropriate images on TV, in movies or on computers can significantly disrupt children’s sleep.

Stick to Sesame Street: Violent TV Disrupts Kids’ Sleep:

“If your kid is having trouble sleeping, take a closer look at what he’s been watching on TV. A new study published in the journal Pediatrics finds that violent or age-inappropriate programming could increase the odds that children have problems falling asleep and staying asleep or have nightmares.”

Parents and their children in the control group did were not instructed to watch less violent television shows. The results were startling, with children not watching violent TV having “64% lower odds of any sleep problem compared with kids in the control group. The effect lasted about a year.”

Don’t let children watch violent or age-inappropriate programming, and Fox News would also add that watching Spongebob is a problem for kids too.
